[VIDEO] Owner of a Lonely Heart?

[This stage is familiar, but the decor is the beginning of a passionate spring, roses of red and white gabbled with bits of pink tucked in here and there. The statues are dressed in crowns of bright flowers, and the little cherubs are extra polished today to really stand out.

The music is, in short, appropriate thanks to the in-house band. Orchestral sweeps are joined by the petite horned woman twirling into the frame wrapped in a vintage white dress decorated in hearts. She then stood at attention, clicking her t-strap heels. She wore a pair of tiny white wings on her back, and gave a prop heart-topped scepter that looked better-suited in the hands of a magical girl a twirl.]

Here we go... )

[ooc: It's simple: Comments are private to Madhuri and Papyrus and you can directly address one or both of them. Their responses, however, are an open broadcast over the network in the name of helping everyone. Take notes!]

[Video] A Lady's Holiday

[It's the interior of a theater, THE theater, decked from top to bottom in shiny tinsel, balls and snowflakes. The statues have been given comfy scarves and they hold strings of fresh green garland, and the room has some sort of added sparkle one can't deny. There's a slow sweep of the chamber in all its grandeur before its placed somewhere to rest, facing an unoccupied piano upon the stage.

Until the music starts from off-camera. Hopping to have a seat atop the piano was a familiar tiefling dressed for the occasion: Little red dress with white trim, black corset belt, black boots, red satin gloves to the elbows and that feathered cap replaced wholesale for the signature red hat with a fluffy white end. With a cheeky little grin, her black tail gave a little shake, jingling the sleigh bells tied to the end with a red bow.]

'Tis the season, dears! It may be deathly cold outside and doubly deathly in just a few months, but it's oh so warm in here. Here in lovely Sparks Golsaucia, we at the Lady of Bliss have been angels all year, and have cooked up a few wonderful surprises just for you:

-Our Friday Night Burlesque has taken on a holiday flair! Come and sip on a little eggnog and enjoy some song, dance, and a few little winks and nudges. Tuck the kiddies to bed and swing on by on any old Friday night through December~

For instance, our very own Kuja is working on an upcoming tragedy in three acts! All you performers and would-be stars out there are invited to come and audition for all roles from the 3rd to the 9th. That's two whole days from now! Warm up your vocal cords and all those dancing muscles, and come show us what you're made of. What's it about? Ohh, but that's telling. Dear Kuja would be happy to fill you in when you come to audition. Don't be shy!

Now, carry on with your weekends, your naughty or nice deeds! Don't let me hold you. Shoo!

[She made a shooing motion, grinned, and cut the feed.]

03. [video] Show off

I dunno if you guys have seen it, but...

[The feed starts off to the sight of Red reclining in a cockpit chair, with a drone of engines in the background and a passing of clouds in the windows surrounding him. Someone's more than a little bit proud of his airship finally flying again, it seems.]

There's some big new project goin' up by Curti Center, right? Well, back at the festival, I got talkin' with the guy that's settin' all that up. And I don't think he'd mind if I drummed up a li'l excitement in the meantime.

[His usual toothy grin quickly returns to his face.]

Two words: Monster Arena. Go ahead and think back to the biggest, greatest monsters you've gone up against, here or back home-- and keep those memories fresh, 'cause apparently that's what they're gonna be usin' to make the battles! I didn't know we even had that kinda tech here in Vaikuntha...

Now, I know not everyone here enjoys gettin' their hands dirty, but for those of you who do-- Got any awesome fights or big beasties you wouldn't mind givin' another go? I'm sure some of us might get some useful trainin' and experience out of it.

Oh, and speakin' of...

[He tips the camera over to his face, with a focused stare and a more personal and fond grin.]

Keep an eye out for me in the next Dragons match. They're finally gonna be bringin' me out to the field.

So...

We have what? A month or two left at Curti Center?

Has anyone figured out where the fuck they want to move to yet?

[Video] Greetings

[Look, it's another blonde on the network. However, it was definitely a teenager, and beside him was perhaps the grumpiest Moogle to be seen. It doesn't take long for it to flutter out of view, glowering all the while. Either the boy wasn't bothered by it or just chose to ignore it as he smiled before slightly frowning.]

Hi...

I want to start by taking a moment to apologize. Normally, I'd make an effort to get to know everyone and I wanted to respond to more people on the network, but when we all arrived from the Dream Width, something pretty important to me didn't make it through. Biggs and Wedge managed to find it recently - thanks again by the way. Still, that doesn't excuse my behavior to some people so... I'm sorry about that.

[He nodded his head once and allowed for a beat of silence in which he rubbed the back of his head before recomposing himself]

Anyway, my name's Adrien and I'm from Paris, France on Earth. Until recently, I was homeschooled and I still have a lot to learn when it comes to socializing outside of a fundraiser or a show. Aside from that, I've been tutored in other subjects like Chinese, piano, and fencing, the last I've applied to my asterisk. If you guys ever need a Swordmaster or Ninja, I'm totally up for lending a hand.

[He smiled wider.]

Thanks for your time and I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone.

[And with a wave, the video ended.]

01 - Video;

[The feed opens on a... skeleton. A fairly cartoonish skeleton with goggles, a red cape, and a labcoat, in fact. A handsome fellow, in his not so humble uponion, though with the way his eye sockets are slightly narrowed, he may be ever so slightly frustrated. But only slightly! He's not one to embrace negative feelings.

But today, Papyrus has a very important announcement to make.]

GREETINGS, MY FELLOW OTHERWORLDLY TRAVELERS! THIS MAY ALARM YOU BUT I AM, INDEED, A SKELETON. NO, I AM NOT A ZOMBIE. NO, I AM NOT GOING TO SPOOK YOU OUT OF YOUR SOCKS. THAT WOULD BE RUDE. AND ALSO POTENTIALLY SCANDALOUS. WE DO NOT NEED STRAY SOCKS LYING AROUND.

I'M BRINGING THIS UP BECAUSE A STRANGE NUMBER OF PEOPLE SEEM SURPRISED BY THIS FACT, EVEN THOUGH SKELETONS MOVING AND TALKING AND BEING GENERALLY FRIENDLY AND HANDSOME FRIEND MATERIAL IS COMMON KNOWLEDGE. BUT PERHAPS SOME OF YOU DID NOT REALIZE THIS!

MY KIND, THE PROUD MONSTER RACE, HAS BEEN TRAPPED BENEATH A MOUNTAIN FOR A LONG TIME. ...AND THERE IS THE SLIM CHANCE THAT OTHER WORLDS OPERATE UNDER DIFFERENT RULES. BUT THAT'S ANOTHER CAN OF WORMS ALTOGETHER! METAPHORICALLY SPEAKING.

[As if he had to specify.]

SO! IF YOU WISH TO LEARN MORE ABOUT COOL SKELETONS AND THE RICH HISTORY OF MONSTERKIND, I'LL GLADLY OBLIGE. ALTERNATIVELY, IF YOU'RE A FELLOW FAN OF PUZZLES (AND I'M SURE MOST OF YOU ARE), THEN PERHAPS WE CAN TALK PUZZLE DESIGN. I'M THINKING A FEW PUZZLES HERE AND THRE WOULD REALLY BRING THIS PLACE TOGETHER. PERHAPS SOMETHING WITH SWITCHES... PLATFORMS? SWITCHES ON PLATFORMS? THE POSSIBILITIES ARE LIMITLESS!!!

[He's rambling a bit, but to be fair, this is a communications network! It's a great way to find people with similar interests! But there was something slightly alarming...]

ALSO, PLEASE DON'T MURDER EACH OTHER! THAT'S GENERALLY VERY BAD. DO NOT DO A VIOLENCE! I'M NOT ENTIRELY SURE WHY THIS HAPPENED, BUT IF I MEET THE MOOGLE WHO DID THE MURDERING, I WILL... GIVE THEM A VERY STERN TALKING TO. PERHAPS GUIDE THEM BACK TO THE STRAIGHT AND NARROW. IT'S NOT TOO LATE TO CHANGE! I BELIEVE IN YOU, POTENTIALLY VIOLENT STRANGER!

[There. That should cover it for now.]

...Excellent! My Lady, it's ready!

[The interior of a sparsely-decorated room flickers to life over the feed, and it's immediately apparent that the room belonged to one of the newcomers pulled fresh from the Dream Width, and someone is playing some sort of music. But as someone hoists up the slate and swings it to the right, the figure seated in the chair is currently occupied.

Ring-covered fingers are strumming the strings of something guitar-like, and the figure is rather lost in it, singing nothing in particular. This goes on for about ten seconds.]

Ahem... Lady Madhuri?

[The figure sits up a little taller with a start, eyes fluttering open. The music resumed as she continued to strum, but the smile was sheepish as her eyes turned to the screen.]

Oh. Oh! Yes, thank you. I'm sorry, my instruments seem to have been left behind in the last jump. Makes a bard's fingers itchy. This loaner suits me nicely until I pay this world's bard college a visit.

[With a flourish, she raised a hand and wiggled her fingers in greeting.]

Good afternoon. I am Madhuri, a bard and a dancer by trade. I found myself curious, so I had to cut the ribbon on this little network as it were and pose a question:

Where are you from? What's your tale? ...Of what you're comfortable sharing, of course. Perhaps this can grant the opportunity to build a little bit of a... a... ohh, what's the word- rapport! Yes. A rapport.

Tell me tales of adventure, of victories and defeats, of loves won and loves lost! Perhaps I'll create a song out of a few, and it will be a little gift. Free, of course. Unless of course you're willing to tip.

[She pulled her feathered cap from atop her head and gave it a tip.]

That's all from me. Enjoy your day. For those of you still panicking about your situation? Breathe, dear. In and out. It'll be alright. Find friends and hold them dear.

Bye-bye~
